This is for a Cell Phone. If you are expecting anything comparable to a cinema screen, think again. This is just a Box, with a lens. The brightness of the screen will depend entirely on the brightness of your Cell Phone screen, and kids... that aint very bright. You are going to struggle to see anything unless this is setup in a Totally Dark Space, and I mean DARK!. Like, 'two hands and a flashlight' still isnt enough kind of dark..I got this just for the Lens to be honest.I actually took the lens from this and made my own projector from an old Android Tablet and a 1000lumen lamp. The Lens is a really nice Short throw, with reasonably good quality. A little aberration on the edges, but over all it does exactly what youd want a projector lens to do.
